B...is a traditional English style barleywine aged in Weller, Four Roses and Blanton's Bourbon barrels for 18 to 24 months. This barleywine is intended to remind you of the past. Inspired by those robey toned barleywines we all fell in love with years ago. Made with 100% Marris Otter, boiled for five hours, split into three directions, and blended to taste. Year three of the bottle club has now come to a close. We look forward to year four, which will be our final year of the bottle club.

2/3 of the blend was double barreled for a total of 24 months, and 1/3 was a single Blanton's barrel.

Robey toned lol. Oh man so many sweet raisin figgy plum barrel notes. Fig newton notes all over. It's the ultimate maris otter expression of BiL.

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a dark copper with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is vanilla, bourbon, wood, caramel. Slick body, toffee, licorice, wood, brown sugar, boozy, very nice.

750ml (thx, Tom B. for proxying) shared with George's gang @ Green Point campground. Appearance: murky copper with no head. Aroma: lots of bourbon, caramel, malt, dark fruits, some booze. Taste: along the same lines, noticeably boozy. Overall: pretty nice.
