Oily black, no carbonation, no head. Nice aroma of chocolate and spices. Thick body, sweet, strong dark chocolate flavour, dark sugar, some spices, ancho, light vanilla (bourbon?), a bit salty. The alcohol is well hidden.

375ml (thx, Chris!) on Alex's porch. Appearance: pours like qn oil, dark brown with no head. Aroma: low carbo, lots of chocolate, bourbon, roasted malt, very mild spice Taste: along the same lines, very balanced, all flavours are noticeable and not overpowering each other, almosy flat. Overall: perfectly balanced beer, there is something that even US breweries need to learn - a balance!
