Cains FA is no small beer: despite its deceptively pale golden colour, it boasts a big, smooth flavour and strong punch. Brewed with the finest English malts, and conditioned in cask with dry hops to produce fresh hop aromas and a fuller flavour, delighting the mouth and stimulating the tongue.

500ml bottle from Booths, Knutsford. Gold colour with thin white head. Metallic empty candy sugar aroma with some hay hop. Some fudge. On cask I rather like this. In bottle itโ€™s empty and metallic. Some fullness from malt and alcohol. Has some tingly citrus on finish. Metallic carbonation sets my teeth on edge.

Bottle from Tesco Worcester 28-04-06. Golden in colour, good size white head, little bit thin, not overly flavoursome but reasonble enough.

(Can 100 cl) Beautiful clear amber without much head. Typical nutty notes and a touch of caramel. Very pleasant and quaffable. Contains both corn and wheat. 091102

[At Fete de la Biere 2004, Lausanne] An amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty but very faint. The flavor is fruity and malty - a very plain ale. Nothing wrong, just nothing special about it.

Gasey beer with a fruity aroma and a harsh bitter aftertaste. Average......
