We're very excited to announce Geography, a red wine barrel aged Belgian strong ale. Taking inspiration from De Dolle's Stille Nacht Reserva, Geography is rich, vinous, malty and slightly tart.
Brewed in late 2020 then aged for a year in Cabernet Sauvignon & Pinot Noir barrels, Geography has a soft, rich mouthfeel and flavors of cherry, oak, rich raisin & caramel.

500ml bottle. Cloudy, chestnut colour with weak ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy, slowly diminishing, minimally lacing, beige head. BA supported, sweet-ish, caramel malty and yeasty fruity, slightly woody aroma, notes of dried fruit, raisin, fig, date, prune, some honey, hints of red wine, a touch of oak. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, yeasty fruity, slightly alcoholic and minimally woody, notes of dried fruit, raisin, fig, date, some honey, BA hints of red wine and oak, a minimally tannic touch, some morello from the red wine, grape sugar overtones; more tannic aspects in the finish, some more warming alcohol as well.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, slightly dry palate due to the woody aspects, medium, slightly scattered, mildly prickly carbonation.
Wonderful composition, well adjusted BA support, good balance; seemingly light body despite the non-neglectable warming alcoholic effect - enjoyable.

Klare rötlich, leicht bräunliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, an Rotwein erinnernder, leicht hefiger Geruch. Geschmacklich ebenso an Rotwein erinnernd, malzig, leicht hefig mit Anklängen an Schokolade und dunkle Früchte. Hohe Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.
