We have named our sensation best bitter, packed full of Crystal Malt after one of Cheltenham’s most famous sons, the multi talented Richard O’Brien – etched in our memories as the presenter of the hugely popular Crystal Maze TV game show but who achieved international and everlasting fame by writing the horror comedy musical The Rocky Horror Show, of which its 1975 film adaptation featured some interesting characters wearing ripped fishnets and sporting dyed spiky hair, is largely accredited with the start of the punk fashion trend. Still in limited release, it is the longest running theatrical release in film history.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 6.5
On cask at the Brewhouse & Kitchen (Cheltenham). Appearance - amber with a proportionate head. Nose - caramel and biscuits. Subtle orange note. Taste - more caramel biscuits, possibly again with some citrus intermingled. Palate - creamy and close to medium bodied. Dry, and fairly balanced finish. Overall - a solid bitter.
