Our Hairy Potter beer is a strong ruby coloured ale with a malty character, 4.8% abv, made with crushed pale malt and a good helping of crystal malt to give a deep ruby colouring adding goldings and Willamette hops to give a rich full bodied ale.

Bottle thanks to Our Graham. Appearance - dark brown to black with a thin off white head. Not ruby as advertised. Nose - earthy almost like mushroom ketchup. Dank wood, then chocolate. Some raisin or prune too. Taste - burnt bread, dark chocolate. Fudge or molasses in small doses. Palate - medium bodied and creamy. Dry crunchy finish. Overall - a nice Bitter.
