After a first top fermentation, Vivat Triple benefits from an old-fashioned skimming, by hand with an open tank system unique in France. This golden, two-grain beer is then kept in a tank for a secondary fermentation of around 4 weeks before continuing its refining thanks to a triple fermentation in the bottle. Two strains of yeast are involved here to carry out the different fermentation processes! Vivat Triple has a sweet aromatic complexity with citrus notes, perfectly balanced, with good length in the mouth.
A real bottle conditioned beer directly inspired from the Vivat Blonde, they share the same specific yeast and same cocktail of hops. It is the slight addition of spices that combine with the refermentation in bottle that gives this beer all of its aromatic complexity, sweet with citrus notes. Perfectly balanced, a generous hopping, a round and long finish are the main qualities of this exceptional beer.

Bottle 500ml. ceramic. bottle.Unclear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, moderate hoppy, moderate to light heavy yeasty, overriped fruit, spicy, yeasty, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20100410]

50 cL ceramic bottle, courtesy of fiulijn. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and mild spiced. Sweet, phenolic and mild grassy flavoured. Fruity and citric finish.

Hazy blond color. Aroma of plastic and puke. Correct body strength, sweetish malt flavor, then I have the impression of drinking a vegetables soup. Low bitterness. Uncontrolled fermentation, like all French beers.

Hazy golden with a medium off white head. Sweet and malty aroma with caramel, fruits and hints of hops. Flavour had fruits, yeast, malt and coriander notes. Finished dry.

Pours feisty, exploded as soon as I unwound the wire and... there goes my shirt. But anyways, has an okay head that fades really quick, colour is hazy orange. Aroma is a sort-of lambic bent with lots of hops, citrus, orange peel. The taste is quite good - a mix of hops and malt, some sour notes. Comes off a little "wet", though, should be drier in my opinion. Otherwise, rather nice.

4/12 0.5 l Heavy ceramic corked bottle with short cork that pops out strongly on the middle of unscrewing the cage, obviously typical for this region... Bought in Casino store, Monaco. It poured hazy orange to golden body with big head. Fine yeasty and orange aroma. Bitter, yeasty and alcoholic flavor. Pretty simple and crude, with honey, biscuit and some orange inside. Medium bodied with longer bittersweet and warming finish. Not particularly good tripel, but characteristics of the style are present.

Lovely 0.5l bottle like on the picture, found at the Carrefour on Boulevart Alfred I, Monaco. Poured a murky darker orange/ochre body with a big white head that went away slowly. Slightly sourish orangey/dusty nose. The taste is yeasty, maybe too yeasty, sweetish, some maltiness, notes of eggs, light notes of carrots. Empty. Light acidic notes, no alcohol. Eh. Not my type of tripel.

Bottle that I picked up from Carrefour, Calais. Consumed at West Runton Campsite, North Norfolk. 13-06-09. Pours rich golden colour almost but not quite clear in the clarity stakes, with a white head atop. Some banana toffee, warmth from alcohol apparent, soft malts, its a touch sweet, bit hoppy and spicy, I enjoyed this. A7 A4 F8 P4 Ov15 3.8
