Each anniversary’s “Bigger Boat” is born of discussions around the brewery about interesting things going on in the moment. Our ninth year had us having millions of discussions on billions of topics, all of which boiled down to: “What have we learned so far, and how can we apply it to what we hope to see in the future?” and “Let’s make an easy to love, hedonistic beer to mark this challenging trip around the sun.” SS 2020 is dripping in oils that we have both developed and found along the way. It plays out as a faithful doubling of our Boat recipe across both the malt bill and hop regimen, but then sees the dry hopping doses doubled with our custom distillates of each of Boat’s nine dry hops, along with select hop powders and Incognito.
