Our contribution to the Black Is Beautiful initiative hosted by the amazing folks at Weathered Souls. The Black is Beautiful initiative is a collaborative effort amongst the brewing community and its customers, in an attempt to bring awareness to the injustices that many people of color face daily. Proceeds will be donated to support the effort locally and across the country. Black Is Beautiful is a big, lush imperial stout designed to showcase the many layers of flavor dark malts bring to our toolbox.

16 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Opaque black pour. Small creamy tan head. Rich malty aroma is roasty and chocolaty. Robust roasted malt flavor had notes of bittersweet chocolate, licorice and cardamom. Obvious alcohol presence in midtaste is warming. As brew warms, flavor evolves. Finishes with notes of coffee and black bread. Quite good.
