Beer seems black in the glass, but wears a bright orange-brown sheen whilst pouring. Small yellow-beige head. Stout with black chocolate and some mocha in the nose. Creamy - no doubt the oats, making it smell a bit bready. Typical stoutlike, sweet at first and gradually evolving into more bitter, very roasted to burnt flavours, even carbonized grain. Little else, once more the oats preventing the typical stout-sourishness to appear. Bit thinnish MF, just the oats -again- giving a somewhat grist-like finish. Long lasting burn-bitter aftertaste. A more carbonated Guinness, in strength somewhat between the usual draught and VSES. OK. Txs to J & C!
