Bottled (BB 01/2008)
Dark ruby brown, small beige head. Barnyardish, lightly chocolaty aroma. Medium-bodied. Reasonably clean coffeish and roasted flavor, although there is some barnyardish notes. Smooth palate. Harmless but also a bit characterless. For being Italian, it is ok.

An unclear brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with a slight acidic tinge. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of chocolate, leading to a slightly burnt aftertaste.

(Bottle 50 cl) Comes as "Malthus All Black". Slightly hazy dark brown - close to black - with a neat, creamy, beige head. Vinous, complex nose with a whiff of tartness. Medium body with some accents of dried fruits - raisins in particular. Weak tartness overall. Discreet bitterness. Quite pleasant but too mellow to be a Schwarzbier. 160206

Draught at the brewpub
Dark brown color; creamy head. Nice aroma of roasted malt. Some caramel. Good malty body, some residual sweetness, well balanced by the correct bitterness; a lot of (sweet) caramel, delicate roasted malt. Pleasant.
