Black Sun is a well-rounded stout with a sweet taste of dark malt. The bitterness and coffee taste of the dark males are well balanced. The taste of this beer reminded the brewmaster of a wonderful autumn evening in southwestern Denmark, where the trip had gone out to the Tønder marshes to see the many stars on the move - the Black Sun. Hence the name of the beer.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is hop, roasted malt, caramel. flavour is hop, roasted, malt, coffee, chocolate, caramel. Nice beer.

Big brown head. Barely translucent deep dark red body with strong carbonation. Resiny wooden licorice aroma with roasty spicy lacquer notes. Very harmonic. Dry-sweet earthy roasty licorice taste with metallic caramelly notes. Mid-to-full body. Mild, soft, rounded mouthfeel. A bit dense and closed, perhaps, but still nice. Dryish earthy chocolatey roasty aftertaste, somewhat musty, with spicy lacquer notes. Nice, drinkable, and smooth. (0.5l bottle, Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)

Bottle. A dense but small, dark beige head sits on top of a clear, reddish brown body. The aroma has dried fruits and roasted malts, some alcohol notes. Slightly toffee-like. The flavor is almost buttery roasted, with cocoa, dark chocolate and some dried fruit notes. Smooth and full-bodied, quite dry even though it’s a sweet brew. A bit uncertain what I think of this one, it’s nice, but with some aromas and flavors I don’t appreciate too much. Overall, I could drink more of it. 110524

dark brown, smooth light brown head. roasted, hoppy aroma. mild, caramel. pretty mild aroma that is sort of sweetish and sort of roasted. flavor is roasted and hard roasted grains, some sweetness, faint metal. mouthfeel is soft and good, aftertaste is dark caramelly, roasted, charchoal. pretty decent stout, velvety, but in the end a bit boring.

Bottled@Yespr. Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is rotten vegetables, some toffee and mild roasted notes. Flavour is roasted malts, some mild liqourice and ashes. Mild caramel malts as well as some slight vegetably notes as well.

Bottle, 6.5%. Weak aroma for the colour and style. Cloudy very dark brown colour. Small stable light brown head. The flavour starts off a little sweet, has mild coffee flavour, nice and pleasant.
