(473ml can from masoif.com) Pours opaque milky dark yellow with a thick white head showing good retention and heavy lace. Aroma is musky rich perfumed lime skin, semi-ripe mango, guava, ripe melon, earthy leafy matter, a bit dank, clearly both more ripe and more earthy than Early but with a more prominent perfumed/musky quality to it as well. Flavour follows the nose, ripe guava, rich lime peel, papaya, some mango/peach ripeness, cantaloupe, malt is retiring again but with more apparent sugar than Early (that is just impression from hopping differences I believe), clean lightly fruity yeast, earthy leafy dankness building into the finish which is fairly dry, musky tropical fruit, rich lime peel, some grassy bitterness and a little citrus pith, fairly light but more bitter than Early still, just a touch of 'greenness', lingering guava in the aftertaste. Medium-plus body for style, really creamy, softly carbonated. Certainly deeper/richer than Early but both are delicious in their own way, informative about hop cultivation but also outright good NEIPA.
