(On tap @ La Souche Limoilou, Quebec City, Nov 15/22) Pours nearly clear bright straw gold with a thick white head and a carpet of lace. Aroma and flavour both dominated by delicate, floral white grape with a little pale citrus component, smooth softly sweet honey, light hay-inflected saison yeast, nice subtle cereals and refined Brett. Lightly tart but mostly dry, finishing bone dry with some smooth honeyed pale citrus grapeiness in the aftertaste and a little rustic cereal bitterness. Medium-bodied, very creamy and very soft carb for a saison. I enjoyed this but felt it was a bit too subtle to really pop, though coming where it did after Brett & Sauvage and alongside a BA Messorem stout was unfair to it as well.
