BOTTLE shared with mcberko. Pitch black. Huge intense cocoa and fruity taste with clear yet subtle grape must notes, big and hot alcohol but not harsh, pretty smooth. Intense and different. World class.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out deep dark fruits, light anise, and light orange. Flavour is complex, with dark fruits, alcohol, some oranges and a hint of spicy punch. Cohesive somehow, even though I don't discern all the elements. Fun beer.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Black with beige head. Spicy licorice aroma with some plum brandy. Sweet with full to massive body and rounded mouthfeel. Treacle and aniseed. Syrup and brandy. Somewhat resinous finish.

Bottle, 0.33l. Black pour, half finger creamy beige head. Medium retention, thick lacing. Rich nose, malty, chocolate and caramel, hints of citrus, coffee, liquor. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Thick texture, creamy and smooth. Roasty bitter taste with some malt sweetness and slight citrus tart. Aroma is pretty robust, very boozy. Strong liquor notes, dry, pronounced alcohol burn. Caramel, toffee, dried fruits. Hints of orange, coffee and cocoa. Wood notes, roasted. Sweet syrup in the aftertaste. Boozy long lasting finish, warming and dry. Overall, pretty good IS. Rich and robust, a bit on the boozy side but for the ABV that's understandable. Really nice.

Bottle, 0.33l. Black pretty much, tan creamy head. Lovely aroma, mixing mostly cocoa, chocolate milk really with alcohol, maybe vague anise. 7.5 really. Thick, full, chocolate taste, huge chocolate malts ending in roastiness that never obstructs. The fruits are a balance to that, not quite prominent taste-wise, but helping drinkability I guess. Long lasting roast, fantastic maltiness, but the alcohol slightly detracts, the anise actually helping playing it down. Excellent stuff!
