Did we trade beer for a sweet, wood stained table? Yes, yes we did. This was the beer we exchanged in a true throwback to a time before currency; where things such as lumber and ale ruled supreme.

You can still find this table in the beer bus to the left side of the bar/serving area. It is beautiful and was built by Mike's brother in law, Shavin. We appreciate him.

Lumber for Ale features a heavy dosing of Simcoe hops. We taste dense notes of orange citrus, pineapple and a delectable dank piney resin note

Smooth, intensely hoppy and juicy tropical fruity with some citrus, herbal notes, hints of creamy fluffiness, dankness, hay and grapefruit. Soft and quite tasty.

(473ml can c/o Luc, thanks!) Pours quite hazy gold with a thick white head and good lace. Notes of white grapefruit, navel orange, semi-ripe and softly peppery pineapple fresh pine needles, some leaves, moderately spicy resin, smooth bready off-dry malt, finish is lightly bitter with a good peppery pine-inflected bite and touches of pineapple and grapefruit lingering as well. Medium-bodied, softly carbonated and quite creamy. Not my favourite Badlands ever as it's somewhat lacking in brightness and verve compared to most, but it's a solid old-school varietal IPA.
