Nelly

Hoppy, creamy, fruity. Citrus and tropical fruit with dry grass, smooth, dry. Very nice.

(473ml can c/o Luc, thanks!) Pours opaque orange-gold with a thick white head and lots of lace. Aroma of fresh gooseberries and green melon, clear white grape, aromatic white wine-like notes of lime and candied lemons, fresh wet leaves like a rainforest without mulch, smooth soft breadiness. Flavour is very much following the nose, nice expression of the more unique sides of Nelson; flavours again of green melon, white grape, gooseberry, sweet lemon-lime zest, accents of orange, breadiness is a little softer than some Badlands bodies here, low estery fruitiness. Drying low bitterness finish of white grape, leaves and lime peel without soap. Body is light but very creamy with soft to moderate carbonation. Great single hop expression of one of my favourite varieties.
