(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours fairly hazy deep pink-red with a decent pale pink head and lace. Aroma of tart red berries, some acidic raspberry and slightly richer, grape-adjacent blackberry, good lactic tartness, some floral vanilla, soft cacao. Flavour is light sweet and light to moderate tart berries, more typical macerated beer than smoothie puree though, Rubus blend with a touch of grape, moderate semi-sweetened earthy cacao, soft vanilla, a little astringency, lemony lacto in the finish, berry juice and cacao aftertaste. Medium body, slight cacao graininess, soft carbonation, not a smoothie though. Tasty stuff regardless of whether it's remotely smoothie, the cacao fleshes things out and prevents it from being just another Rubus kettle sour.
