(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours opaque orange-gold with a thick white head and loads of lace. Aroma of canned fruit cup, especially peaches and oranges, very sweet and quite juicy, with floral and herbal edges and a hint of creamy coconut from the Sabro in the blend. Flavour is a bit less sweet than the nose would suggest, orange juice, lemon and lime peels, and even a lemony acidity in there, some kind of rindy but plush tropical fruit, a little melon, a bit herbal and grassy. Core of slightly sweet brioche malt. Dries into the finish, low bitterness, some lemon/lime peels and herbs, a bit short and low-flavour on the finish with little aftertaste. Light bodied and a little watery, with somewhat creamy carbonation. Nice nose on this one but the flavour and body isn't really up to the standard Boreale has set with Nord-Est etc. Not sure why, I'd have thought the standard recipe with the Pink Boots blend would have been a winner.
