Cream Ales are one of the few truly American styles of beer developing from the American light lager style. Captain Kennedy is an approachable classic, brewed with American hops and stone-ground yellow corn grits from Wade’s Mill (Raphine, VA). As such, the beer bears the name of the man who built the mill in 1750, Captain Joseph Kennedy.

Honey and dandelion aroma. Clear amber, thin head. Hominy and grass flavor. Fizzy. A cream ale that I actually enjoy. I don’t like this style very much, but this has personality.
