With this bit of Italian-linguistics alongside a nod to Super Mario (for no particular reason other than we liked it) we landed on our newest off-centered innovation! Super Doppio is brewed with grain bill including Spelt, the classic Roman Marching Grain, to give it that delicious smoothness, and then continually hopped with spicy, noble Spalt hops. We hit it with another dry hopping session with a blend of Aramis and Saaz hops following fermentation to give it those floral and citrusy notes.
As the first beer in our 2025 Season-Ales series (previously known as our Art-Series), Super Doppio is sporting some incredible artwork by our pal Drew Millward! Drew likes to draw ‘the old-fashioned way’, using pencils, pens and has a love of the craft of illustration. He has exhibited throughout the US, UK, Europe and beyond, as well as having the pleasure of creating work for an ever-growing international client base, and his doppio ... er, dope work will be featured on all four beers in our 2025 Season-Ales series.

2$ can from chalet premier. Pour is foaming virtually clear pale. Nose reminds me of many cheap malt likkers I drank as a student. Oh my, first taste is about the same; boozy alky laden cream corn. Difficult is too good of a word for this mess. Deep down in side, if you look for it, you may find some pilsner bite in there. But, by all means this is not a plilsner per se, this is more difficult than even the worst baltic pils I've done, and its on par with some of the worst cheap ass american malt likkers you get the local bars. So much rude personality in this mixture, that I even missed the small amount of carbonation that exists on the palate. Not sure who the audience would be for this bomb, you can get a 40 or quart twist off bottle down in Aliquippa for about the price of this stuff. Probably should have drank this from a brown paper bag. Possesses many ill ale characteristics. On par with rude ass pils like Baro Tradicinis and Žaibo, both brewed by Rinkuškių, so you know where I'm coming from by that! Even Carlsberg Elephant is better than this happy BS!

Pours a clear deep gold. It smells of grainy, biscuity malt with a little fruity character. The flavor is on the malty side, grainy with a mild hops bitterness. It's good but not a standout beer. This is my 69th Dogfish Head rating. Nice.

Bright gold with a large foamy white head. Floral and grassy hops with a light grainy undertone. Medium finish and body.
