Moderately strong aroma of clover, caramel, toffee, and overripe grapefruit. Shimmering auburn, thin head. Perfumey flavor hits like a punch in the face. Pronounced flavor of rose, lily, and marigold. Quite bitter. Subtle honeysuckle notes in the end. Quite bitter. A little off balance

April 2026 rating: Update after 16 years! On tap at Diamond Knot MLT, pours a clear dark copper with a small beige head. Aroma has gentle resinous hops, some pine, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour has plenty of woody resinous hops, pine, and sweet bready caramel. More malty than I remember, but retains that old school woody resinous character. Can’t say this is as great as my memory, but I was noob back then. Good.
March 2010 rating: On tap at The Taphouse, pours a hazy orange. Aroma of hops and oak. Flavour of hops, grapefruit, oak, wood and pine. Fantastic IIPA.
