Bottle @ Armin’s house, courtesy of doodler. Thanks so much, Scott! Deep black appearance with a small, dark brown head. Super roasty, anise, dark chocolate, light vanilla, black licorice aroma. Rich dark chocolate, vanilla bean, big anise, oaky flavor with a bit of a bitter finish. Quite tasty brew.

Bottle - thanks to bigmmartin. Near black pour with a small creamy brown head. Rich roasty aroma with espresso, ash, molasses, and baker’s chocolate. Tastes dry, roasty... more ash. Espresso. Some bittersweetness, more roast, and finishes with lingering bitters.

Pours a solid black with a huge fluffy tan head that laces the side of the glass all the way down. Aroma is of burnt brown sugar, coffee, a touch of alcohol. Taste is more brown and burnt sugar, some dark chocolate, dark roasted coffee a touch of alcohol and a lingering roast bitterness and alcohol in the finish. Lots of caramel and toffee appear as this one warms. Very complex, very tasty! Thick body, creamy syrupy mouthfeel, low but ample carbonation. Wow I’m impressed! This is one solid Imp Stout, I wish I had bought more than one bottle! Otter Creek welcome back to my craft brew scene.

Pours deep black into a snifter. Mocha head with excellent retention slowly recedes to coat surface. Marshmallow cream and mocha aromas. Dark chocolate and fluff from front to back. Lasting espresso finish. Definitely Otter Creeks best effort...

Bomber. Black body with deep brown highlights. Frothy tan head, mostly diminishing. Thick aroma of dark chocolate, mild coffee, roasted malts, resin and alcohol. Hint of earthiness and peat. The flavor is lighty bitter, moderately sweet and lightly acidic. It finishes moderately bitter, moderately sweet and lightly to moderately acidic. Medium to full body, oily texture and lively carbonation. The beer starts sweet with tastes of chocolate, maple sugar, cherry, but ends with some hints (and mouthfeel) of ash, metal and alcohol. Those aren’t distracting enough to drag the beer down too much. It’s still a nice sipping imperial stout.

Bottle as shown. Pours a very dark brown almost black with a frothy tan head that leaves good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a sweet roasted malt with chocolate and cherries. Medium mouthfeel with a rich roasted malt with chocolate and a sweet finish. Alcohol decently hidden, a very good Imperial stout from Otter Creek.
