For our first collaboration at this brewery, we partnered with our friends and close neighbors (1.9 miles by road, a little under a mile away as the crow flies) at Heavy Seas. This beer is inspired by Belgian Golden Strong ales, but to give it that Guinness twist, we added some dark malt and roasted barley. The result is a dark brown beer, brimming with fruity esters like banana, cooked strawberry, and pear, but with some roast, nutty, and chocolate malt aromas to give depth and richness.
