1900 is a subtle beer as full of aromas. Soft on the palate, pale and thin bubble, surprised by the amount of nuances housing. The nose dominated by fresh fruit that comes from the fermentation at high temperature.

Bottle in a bar in the old part of town in Bilbao, Basque Country, Northern Spain 06.07.11. Pours warm gold though a touch lighter in colour than the Amber Especial with a filmy white head. Sweet and malty but with a little bit more bitterness than the Especial, its an ok lager. . A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2

Bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado (thanks!) Poured a shiny pale yellow-golden body with a small white head that went away relatively fast. The nose is very light, kinda fruity, maybe lemony. The taste is a letdown. It’s full in a way, but it feels somehow stale.. yeastiness, very light hopiness that one could call herbal I guess. Some maltiness pops up later on. Unimpressive but interesting for a Spanish macro.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear golden with a white head. aroma of brewing cereal and bittering hops. Medium body with sweet brewing cereal, an underlying acidity and a rather crude bitterness in the finish. English Pale Ale - really? This was no better than a poor Pale Lager. 140308
