Med fire forskellige typer humle, bliver ens smagsløg virkelig udfordret! Høj bitterhed på grund af den store mængde humle, som er karakteristisk for IPA. Velegnet til det salte køkken.
Gerne til en klassisk modnet sild.

Bottled 50ml (Beer Hunters, bottled 190810)
Hazy orange color, small white head. Fruity hoppy, orange peel aroma, a bit yeasty. Crisp carbonation. Medium-bodied. Flavor has some vegetables, orange, orange peels. Only hoppyness is in the aftertaste. Home brew feeling.

Bottled (bought from the Brewery). 6.3% ABV. Hazy goldeny orange colour, mediumsized white fluffy head. Aroma is fruits, some wood, mild yeast, spices as well as quite bready and caramelly. Flavour is very much the same. I actually like the yeastyness in this one, making it a bit unclean, but still very pleasant.

Bottle. 8.4 % ABV according to the label. Slightly hazy body, orange-golden color, and a small off-white head. Quite pleasant nose with hops doing most of the job. Pinecones and some grass, malty sweetness and doughy notes too. Quite bitter finish, malty sweetness and that same doughyness that the aroma has. Pine cones too. Lasting finish, doughy and bitter with some sweetness. Decent, but not my IPA-style. 100618

Orange-amber beer, bright, but full of little UFO’s. Good yellow dense head, quite stable. Spiced malt toffees - does that sound possible? If they exist, they smell like this. Some dark honey, followed by a good dose of fine hops. Hoppy, bitterish flavour, overlying honeyish, toffee/caramel-like malts. Long bitterish-spicy aftertaste, going to vegetable bitterness. Very slick, much better bodied than expected from a 6.5% ABV IPA, nearly doubleIPA-like. Yeast in suspension probably part of the explanation. The only explanation I can find, but for the other lower ratings, is that people expected clear C-hops, which these aren’t. But it is a quite fine beer, IMO. Thanks, Jan & Charlotte!
