Small yellow-beige head over hazed chestnut-coloured beer. Meaty & spicy aromas vying for domination. Bit (dark)bready notes in the finish; sweetish, bit like a German dunkler Bock. Fresh bready-spicy notes in the taste. Sweet-bitterness, but with a tinge of (CO²?) acidity. Nutty, certainly warming up. Spices are present, but nowhere imposing - excellent balance. Warming, some alcohol; medium to well-bodied; medium to well-carbonated. 2 years old, but still going strong! Congrats for this effort, and many thanks to Stef!

75 cL bottle, Kerstbier Festival 2009. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is spiced and roasted malty. Sweet malty, light metallic and roasted flavoured. Rather dry and slight bitter. Lingering spiced and slight metallic note into the finish. Sweet malty note into the far finish.
