Das FARNY Hefe-Weizen wird bei der Brauerei FARNY bereits seit den 1970er Jahren in Original Flaschengärung gebraut.
Das heißt, die letzte Gärung findet unmittelbar in der Flasche statt. Dieses Verfahren ist aufwendiger als das sogenannte Eintankverfahren. Sie erkennen es sofort daran, dass beim FARNY Hefe-Weizen die Hefe einen feinen Bodensatz bildet, der beim Einschenken in das Glas mit dem letzten Schluck Flaschen-Inhalt, leicht aufgeschüttelt, eingeschenkt wird.

Rated as Farny Hefe-Weizen: Cloudy yellow in the glass, nice white head. The nose is clove and slightly banana. The beer starts dry, slightly sour. The mainpart is a bit more sweeter, clove and banana, A bitter note comes to this flavour. But harmonises quite well - not too sweet but not much yeasty banana. The aftertaste is rather short, only very few banana - clove aroma, but much more metallic-like bitterness. Especially in the end, when all of the yeasty and slightly sweet banana is gone. A pale, bitter metallic taste remains in the mouth and lies nearly completely over the other nice fruity and sweeter aroma! --> Interesting Weizen, but I don't really like the last ending... --> 10/12/4/10

500ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with small, frothy, diminishing, white head. Wheaty, yeasty, minimally citrusy aroma. Taste is fresh citrusy, minimally spicy yeasty, minimally grassy hoppy, subtle wheat malt sweetness, spicy yeasty finish; prickling carbonation.

Bottle from bierzwerg.de. Cloudy yellow color with medium white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, banana. Taste, malt, wheat, yeast, clove, banana. Fruity (banana) finish.

Darkish hazy golden, frothy but not too durable head. Aroma is wheat, citrus, fruit, some elderflower and vinous elements, cloves and banana. Taste is more clove than banana, wheat, citrus. Slightly dry finish, even less astringent.

Bottle @ Fastelavnssmagning, Ulfborg. Pours dark unclear yellow with a small creamy white head. Nose and taste is sweet of banana and wheat. A bit of cloves. Medium and smooth body.

Bottle 500ml. @ Fastelavnssmagning, Ulfborg.Clear medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light malty, moderate yeasty, banana notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light medium, texture is watery - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20100220]

Bottle, 5.3%. The aroma has a faint fruity hint, even peachy?! Almost clear yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour has a little paper at first, turns more fruity after a while, a bit citric. There is some yeast mouthfeel, but not much yeast flavour, more like chalk or dust.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass is too light. Starts very fruity, surprisingly very much like apple. Finish modest sourish. All in all too washy.
