Das FARNY Hefe-Weizen wird bei der Brauerei FARNY bereits seit den 1970er Jahren in Original Flaschengärung gebraut.
Das heißt, die letzte Gärung findet unmittelbar in der Flasche statt. Dieses Verfahren ist aufwendiger als das sogenannte Eintankverfahren. Sie erkennen es sofort daran, dass beim FARNY Hefe-Weizen die Hefe einen feinen Bodensatz bildet, der beim Einschenken in das Glas mit dem letzten Schluck Flaschen-Inhalt, leicht aufgeschüttelt, eingeschenkt wird.

Bouteille, merci Quack-Duck ! Hazy, pale golden, small foamy layer, lazy carbonation; sweetish-fruity nose - ripe bananas with a faint wheaty-yeasty touch underneath; light to moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied; short light wheaty-fruity finish. Not bad, but a bit "lame"........

(bottle, with thanks to Quack-Duck) Cloudy, light-orange colour with a moderate foamy white head. Yeasty, medium-sweet, distinctive grainy aroma with a light wheat-character and notes of citrus and banana. Light-sweet flavour with a minimal level of acidity, light to medium bodied, almost fizzy carbonation. Wheat-malty, slightly yeasty taste with moderate fruity accents; wheaty and fruity finish with restrained clovy notes, which I appreciate. Decent, refreshing Hefe-Weizen.

A hazy light yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of dusty hops and wheat. The mouthfeel is very sparkling with flavor notes of wheat and barley malt as well as lighter notes of citrus and banana.

Very pale yellow-gold with only a limited haze; huge, miscellanous white head. Nose contains glue and solvent! Then more yeasty esters with lemon, banana but also coriander. Refreshing to an extent: first lemon and wheat acidity, then melting to banana, milkripe wheat, some clove and aniseed, and d*mn if I don’t get coriander again. Must be the yeast somehow - unsettling. Medium bodied, but it starts out seeming lighter. Creamy texture. Lacks balance! Every new sip starts acidic as behoves a wheat, and then slides irrevocably to sweet banana and malts, without evening out. Not very convincing.

Um Klassen besser als die leichte Variante zeigt sich die "Vollversion". Dezenter fruchtiger Hauch, schönes hefiges Aroma. Eine Säuerlichkeit kommt zwar auf, aber in einem zu vernachlässigendem Intensitätsgrad. Alles in allem recht gut, am Nachgeschmack könnte noch gefeilt werden. Bottle. Sweet banana. clove, apple aroma. Light amber color- cloudy with moderate head. Wheat malt flavor up front with moderately sweet banana/clove finish. Moderate body. Flavor is a bit bland - nothing special. A fairly blah Weizen.
