Een heftige Double IPA van Van Moll en Guinea. Het gewicht van Brouwer Janneke gebruikt in hop, dit resulteert in 25 gram hop per liter bier. (Heel veel dus) Wat inhoud dat dit ontzettend krachtige bittere double IPA is!

Thnx to the brewer . Pours clear amber. Small white but stable head. Smell is rich ambermalty, aromatic, toast, biscuits. Some hoppy notes as well, mostly spiced features. Taste is full, steong maltyness. Mild sweetess, unfermented-natural- maltose style. Turns a bit hoppy, some bitterness, and rather creamy. Aftertaste has a sensationnal level in the throat. Not sure if hidden peppers, or a touch more boozy than expected.

Fles gekregen van Roelzie1986 en Koenzie. Het is een bruin bier met weinig schuim. Het heeft een heel scherpe hop geur. De smaak van hop komt je tegemoet en is ook in de afdronk goed aanwezig!

Hazy deep amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry. decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, light caramel - toffee. Pine. Crystallised fruits and citric peel. Mild hop spice. Light finish. A bit staid and dry but it’s okay.

Tap @ van Moll, 10 cl sample. Slight hazy dark golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of herbal hop, slight tropical fruit and a bit of cookie malt. Medium bitterness, bit herbal again. Decent, but I prefer more fruity tropical fruitiness.

Tap @ Arendsnest, small sample. Clear golden color. Dense white head with good lacing. Aroma’s: nice citrussy, tangerine, a bit resinous. Retronasal it’s resinous, hoppy sour. Flavor is earthy bitter with light malty sweetness and light hoppy sourness. Medium bodied. Finish is long, bitter, earthy and resinous.

Draft at Van Moll. Clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, peach, citrus, orange peel and bready malt notes behind. Flavour is moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Medium, dense yellow head retreating to rim over amberish ruby beer. Fruity, but also catty hops, caramel, orangepeel. Bitter, hoppy, orangepeel but again with a good caramelly sweet backbone. Slightly mineral, orangeoil. Hopoil at the tonguesides to near astringency. Every new sip gives shortly a cheesy impression. Very hopoil-slick, medium to well-boded. Feels better carbonated than it looks. Severe, the hoploead emphasizing the less desirable effects of the chosen hopsorts as well as the better specs.

Draft at Triple Tap Takeover at De Molen, Dark brown amber beer, medium head. Aroma is malt, citrus, lots of hops, fruits. Taste is the same, bitter with some sweetness. very nice.
