Sampled from tap at Leiden Winterbier Festival. Hazy red amber with thin off white head. Big sweet resin and honey up front, barley and sweet grain and sweet citrus and exotic fruity notes. Big sweet and light marijuana bitter. Over medium body. Intense hop pellet aroma in finish. Very enjoyable.

Tap at Winterbierfestival Leiden. Clear deep orange golden with cream colored head. Lots of toffee, fudge, orange peel, grapefruit, caramel, bitter herbs. Quite strong malty but some nice hop aromas as well. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Clear orange to light amber color, medium sized beige head that lasts for quite a long time. Aroma is unfortunately a little bit sweaty, although I also get a slight hint of wet hops. Taste malts, young hops, wet hop, but also a slight hint of "meh". Can’t describe it properly but it’s somewhat unfresh, I get the flavor just before an ok bitterness sets in. But that flavor just before the bitterness, hmm no, I don’t like it, it’s sort of orangepeel with tannins and green plants. Weird. Not a very good imperial IPA imo. Or at least, not my kind of flavor. 5-3-6-3-11=2.8. -- Rerate November 4th 2018. Much much better this time. As it should be: resinous hops and resinous hoppy bitter. Lovely.

Hazy amber colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have lots of pink grapefruit citric bitterness .
