2019 from bottle to tulip glass. Light chocolate and rich malt aroma. Black with limited tan head. Rich chocolate powder taste. Slight bitterness. Moderate bakers chocolate. [2018 opened 4/7/22. Really amazing beer and bumping my rating up a fair amount. I was surprised by my initial low rating of the 2019.....but it was 5 months into COVID so maybe nothing seemed that good back then!]

Sampled at Churchkey's Fifty Fifty event, pours a dark black with khaki head and legs. Nose has booze, caramel, whiskey, some port, a little witchhazel. Flavor is boozier than the nose, some coke, tootsie roll, caramel. Finishes fairly full bodied.

Bottle at Erik's; vintage 2017
Black colour, medium tan head. One of the more balanced Eclsipse, which means also it doesn't have a lot of depth; the rye barrel is quite strong.
Very good.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy rye upfront, with moderate roast, and a touch of whiskey. Flavour is quite rye-heavy, with earthy rye notes, spicy rye, and toasted malt. Earthy and toasty, with a pretty light palate. Nice stuff.

650ml bottle at Erik's. Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is molasses, some sourness and fruitiness. Taste is quite harsh with dark fruit notes and roasted malt bitterness. Too bitter and not really balanced. It's just ok.
