Now in its 12th vintage, 2019 Eclipse is our rich Imperial Stout aged to perfection in whiskey and spirit barrels. All Eclipse starts with the same base beer bringing hints of dark chocolate, espresso, and a smooth complexity, with each barrel treatment delivering its own unique character after a minimum of 180 days of aging. Rye Cuvée is aged in a variety of premium rye whiskey barrels. Dipped in dark green (olive drab) wax.

Aroma is dark malts, with raisins, dark fruits and vanilla, as well as heather, muscovado, cocoa nibs and wooden notes. Creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts, with hazelnuts, sweet coffee, vanilla and muscovado, as well as dark fruits with raisins and heather.

Nice light brown bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich boozy, dark malts, mild bourbon, minerals, bark, oak, chocolate, toffee, licorice, coffee, dark sugar. Taste is slightly sweet mineraly, dark malts, dark sugar, toast, toffee, "knekk", mild bourbon, old rope, honey, chocolate. Medium bitterness, slightly "watery" roasted mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle shared at Kermis’ last THT. Almost black with dark beige head. Thick sweet malts, lots of honey, vanilla, soft rye whisky, light spices, raisins. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Almost full bodied with slick feel. Nice.
