3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze Cuvée Armand & Gaston is a blend of one-, two-, and three-year old traditional lambics, all brewed at Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen. Spontaneous fermentation, patient maturation in oak barrels, and continued evolution in the bottle result in a distinctively complex beer. No two bottlings are alike, as there are multiple variables in the blending process, a variety of barrel sizes and shapes, differences in aged lambic proportions, etc. This cuvée, like all of our lambic, is 100% natural, authentic, spontaneously fermented, and crafted with steadfast adherence to tradition, like Armand and Gaston Debelder have always done it. This geuze has fermented in the bottle and will continue to develop its tastes and aromas over its long life when properly cellared. Traditional Lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley! Taste, savour, enjoy, and experience this unfiltered, unpasteurised, and unadulterated beer with friends new and old!

Lotno. 07/10/2015 (I'm assuming this is the bottling date, so exactly 6 years minus 1 day in the bottle. Pours a light hazy orange colour and a big, dense off white head with fairly good retention. Aromas's: sour, funky in a pleasant way, wood, fruity. Nice fruity sourness retronasal, woody as well. Flavour is above moderate sour with light woody bitterness. Light medium bodied. Firm carbonation. Long finish, jammy, sourish. Held up very nice.

75cl bottle via trade with Garrold, season 17 - 18 blend no. 29, bottled 12/03/18. Slightly hazed golden amber, foamy white head. Aroma of funky fruity notes, wood, musty citrus. Taste has plenty of funk, woody, sour, tangy lemon, tart apple skin, some sweetness, tiniest hint of earthiness. Medium body.

Carby as heck and dry overdose upfront but mellows out after a bit to nice dry pear skins and farmy appley sweetness.

Bottled 375ml. -at Ambasada Zagreb, shared with hrabren. Unclear orange coloured, small white head, chees, yeast and light lemon in the nose. Yeasty, horseblanket, slightly lemony and quite sour with mild fruity notes in the finish. Quite strong carbonation.
