Nisse är ett opastöriserat halvmörkt julöl som är framtaget för att harmoniera med julens alla smaker och lyfta dem till högre höjder. De flesta förknippar julöl med egenskaper som mörkare färgton, fyllighet, och sötma. Med Nisse har vår strävan varit att skapa en mer mångsidig och komplex dryck som är njutbar utan att vara påstridigt söt. Den är lätt kryddad med ingefära, kanel och apelsin och tillsammans med en övertygande humlekryddning blir resultatet en aromatisk brygd med viss sötma

Klassifikation: Julöl, ale

Användning: Nisses relativt låga sötma tillsammans med den lätta kryddigheten gör den till ett bra komplement till allt från sill och feta kötträtter till allmän julefröjd.

Innehåll: Fem sorters malt: Pilsnermalt, ljus och mörk karamellmalt samt choklad- och svartmalt.

Fyra sorters humle: Northen Brewer, Perle. Fuggle och East Kent Golding.

Övrig smaksättare: Kanel, ingefära, apelsinskal och nejlikor.

Alkoholhalt: 5,3%

Skummar otroligt mycket vilket är snyggt men lite opraktiskt. En ESB öl med en för Englands vinteröl, typiskt muskotliknande smak. Jag är osäker på om den är kryddad med muskot eller om det är humleblandningen som ger den karaktären. Jag vet i a f att jag inte är så förtjust i det. Det lägger sig dessutom över alla andra smaker och tar över för mycket. Annars är det ett trevligt öl med söt robust maltbas och en liten beska på slutet.

500 ml bottle consumed on November 30. Pours copper with a small white head that leaves some trace while dissipating. Smell is malty sweet with caramel, toasted malts, persimmon and fudge. Taste is sweet with ash, tobacco, raisins, plums, burnt sugar and butterscotch. Finish is dry and slightly bitter.

Dark amber with off white head - aroma of malt and spice - in the taste the spices in the beer comes more forward - lingering spicyness especially ginger in the finish - good and drinkable

500ml Bottle - Copper red in colour. The aroma isn’t very strong and has faint hints of dried fruit and spice. Fruity, malty, spicy and slightly hoppy taste with notes of ginger, cinnamon, raisins and caramel. Drinkable, but slightly thinner than I was expecting. Could do with a bit more body.

500 ml bottle, 2009, bought at Systembolaget. ABV is 5.3%. Copper colour, big to moderate off-white head. Sweetish aroma of oranges and spices (cinnamon, ginger and cloves). The flavour is not as sweet as the aroma made me fear, there is some sweetness but it is not overdone. Notes of said spices again, noticeable hops in the finish . The beer is fairly light bodied and drinkable, not too bad.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, moderate to light heavy spicy, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, orange. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, spicy and pine needles. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100129]

Bottle. Nice head with medium duration. Color is dark amber. Aroma and taste are mainly caramel, but also some hops and fruits.

Bottle. Amber with a fairly large and slightly dirty head. A lot of malt in the aroma as well as nuts, syrups and fruit. Dry liquid, a lot of nuts in the taste. Some Christmas spices. The taste of bread was also evident. Aftertaste was short and the beer was to thin for my taste.

clear amber, large fluffy offwhite head. dusty aroma, cristmas spices, malts, faint swetness. flavor is fruity, slight roasted stuff, faint sweet caramel, spicy, grainy.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki, on 2008-12-13) Dark amber. Clear. Dense white head. Liquorice, spicinessa and hint of chocolate in nose. Full bodied palate with medium carbonation. Roastedeness, clove, hebrs, sweetness, liquorice and bitterness in taste. Roastedness and clove in aftertaste.
