bottle. pours golden, white head Aroma, bitter hops, light citrus, subtle nice hops aroma.flavors, wheat, pale malts, light citrus hops, grainy. Smooth pale malty finish with some lingering bitter hops. Not bad.

Bottled@Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Golden colour, small off-white head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, wood and some rather bready malts along with mild saltwateryness. Flavour is quite much the same. Quite balanced and pleasant Pils.

Bottle 12fl.oz.Clear light medium orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, orange, madarin, light to moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100109]

Scrimshaw Pilsner is mild and sweet, fairly appropriate for the style. It’s drinkable if boring. The beer’s appearance is nothing to speak of at any great length: a nice golden beer with a light head. The smell is similarly nondescript but without any bitterness, which I appreciate. The taste is sweet and mildly citric with very little bitterness. The finish is pleasantly dry.

On tap at Sheffield’s. Poured a light clear gold with a white head. Aroma had a combination of malts and hops but the malts are more prevalent leading to a grainy aroma. Flavor was crisp and a bit dark for a pils with a nice dry finish.

Bottled. An amber beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and lemon, as well as light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, citrus, and some straw. The body is on the light side.

Aroma: A little bready, faint fruit scent
Appearance: Clear, light gold color; Fizzy head disappears quickly.
Flavor: Nice light flavor, slightly sweet and light hops

Overall Impression: For a standard looking pale, it has a nice light flavor, put is relatively enjoyable for its style. Probably a good beer for a hot day, but certainly not very complex.

Sample at Dewey’s Pizza in Grandview. The beer is a clear golden color with a medium thin and fizzy white head that burns away steadily. Stringy lacing. Mildly hoppy aroma with some bready notes. Light body with a lightly spiced hops flavor along with some touches of sweet malt and citrus. The finish is lightly hopped with a short spiced aftertaste. Just average overall.

Draft @ NCBC, Fort Bragg, CA. Pours a pale yellow color with a longlasting white head. Has a sweetish malty grainy aroma with some grassy hints. Sweetish malty grainy flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty grainy and slighlty grassy finish.

Pours gold into a shaker. Fluffy bright white head with good retention consolidates before receding. Caramel and mild pine aromas. Crisp with fruity caramel upfront turning to a lasting, almost painful, tingling bitter metallic finish.
