Born from owner Brad Farbstein’s homebrewing experiments in college — our porter is a rich, robust ale with a dry finish. Fresh, cold-brewed organic fair trade coffee courtesy of Katz Coffee in Houston, TX is added just prior to packaging. Our most popular seasonal release, it’s a whole new way to enjoy your coffee with breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of byaeger. Pours a clear brown with a beige head. Very distinct coffee aroma. Medium body, sweet roasted malt and again distinct coffee accents. Very dry and malt bitter finish. Not very porterish really. 301109

Another bottle from ericandersnavy. And grateful I am. Pours really dark brown with a bubbly tan head. Aromas of coffee and dark roast malt. Medium plus body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is coffee/espresso with some definite vanilla. Somehow it’s bitter without seeming much so. ? I feel that, but it’s hard to explain. Seems to go a bit thin as the carbonation leaves. But all the flavor elements are continuing to the end. Ends more dry than sweet.

On tap. Pours with a thick, foamy, khaki colored head and a very deep, near black body. Good lace. Aroma of coffee grounds, vanilla and a touch of spice. Taste is clean roast and a bit of vanilla with a few lingering banana esters. Longish duration. Syrupy consistency, full bodied with light carbonation. Good Texas porter.

On draught at Flying Saucer. Has a very dark brown color with a small tan head. The aroma is a strong coffee and malts. Very easy to drink with not too much of a coffee taste and a smooth finish. Real Ale does it again with another good brew.
