Bottled. Black colour, small off-white head. Aroma is liquorice, some sourness, mild wood as well as some toffee and ripe fruits. Flavour is big time alcohol along with some gluelike notes, sourness and some ripe dried fruits as well as some toasted and liquorice notes. Quite messy.

Bottle @ DØE meeting. Pours black with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, redwine, smoke, oak, brett, hints of chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, light coffee, chocolate, brett, smoke, strong oak notes, redwine and quite tart. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation. 160512

Bottle @ DØE Syd. Almost black with giant beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, brett and oak. FLavour is roasted malts, little coffee, medium sweet, brett, smoke, little acid and a little dry.

Bottle. (bought a couple of years ago in Copenhagen) Almost black with a huge tan head. Aroma and taste of smoke, vinegar, licorice, wood and roasted malt. The taste was really on the sour side. An interesting and good beer.

Black color; thin beige head. Mild aroma of coffee, but it’s also lightly sour; there is some delicate, nice vanilla aroma too. Weak body, quite dry mouthfeel, strong flavor of coffee and heavily roasted malt; there is a touch of berries and light sourness too; dusty. Mild coffee again in the end. It’s not my favorite style, and the sourness doesn’t make things better.

Bottle, 25cl. A clear one, at least it look so, it’s hard to decide from this next to black beer. A dense, brown head sits on top. Vinegar, roasted malts and dark berries on the nose. The flavor has a certain sweetness to deal with the sourness and acidity, it’s quite roasted too, full-bodied and dry, with a lasting finish. A nice one. 110311

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Powerfull brett notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Some chocolate but overpowered by brett. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Messy beer.
