Déraille

(500ml bottle from Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours very hazy deep orange with a vanishing white head. Aroma is heavily bretty and woody, oak and wine barrels, attic, soft raspberries, some tangy acetic bite, gooseberry maybe. Flavour rather sour up front, a bit of raspberry, citrus bite, sour apples, dusty Brett, quite woody, tannic and dry on the back end, lingering physalis twang. Light bodied, mineral, sparkly filling carb. Good stuff, a little acidic but not salad dressing.
