Dabei leichte milde Fruchtaromen.
--> Ein wirklich gelungenes ESB!

I’m not sure how this beer is retired (unless it just happened) recently, but mine is labeled Extra Special Bitter (not just Ale). Very hazy golden orange coloured body with a soapy thin, off-white head. Aroma of sweet sugars, apricots, oranges and curacao, malt and more sweetness (honey). Medium-bodied; Very effervescent mouthful with a potent cascade hop flavour and a good amount of sugars right behind, all with a huge fizz in the mouth. Aftertaste shows some hop bitterness, a touch of sweetness, and a lot of carbonation - STILL! Overall, a decent beer - not enough malt complexity, not enough hops in the finish, and YES - way too much carbonation here! I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Drinks of the World in Bern, Switzerland on 08-November-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 18-April-2010.

Bottle (thanks to Allen!): Hazy amber coloured, stable lacy off-white head; yeasty-caramelly nose with a certain acidity and a very delicate hoppy background; moderate sweet-sourish flavour with traces of bitterness, light to medium bodied; caramel, vinegar and hops in the finish. Infected....

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of elderflowers and hops combined with some notes of malt and a bit of acidity, leading to a dry citrus finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle, thanks Allen! Tropical fruit nose, light woodyness. Cloudy amber, nice frothy light amber head. Refreshing fruit and fitting aromatic hops - not exactly to the style, more of a belgian golden ale, but I am not complaining,. Medium to light body, sparkly mouthfeel. Fresh and pleasant to drink.
