Copper color, full bodied beer with rich malt tones perfectly balanced between a smooth and delicate sweetness and just the right amount of bitterness. Great hop/floral aromas.

Bottle from Artisan Tap, Bedford. Dark gold, slightly murky. White grape, caramel malt, mastic, a hint of mango in the aroma. Taste is ultimately bitter with a gummy sweet note at the fore. Naked and slightly astringent bitterness in the finish. OK, yes, it’s slightly cheap and adjuncty but I do enjoy drinking it.

330ml bottle with cool label. Hazy amber-orange colour with a two finger off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, malt, fruit, caramel. Taste is hoppy, sweet fruity malt, caramel, citric bitterness. Bitter finish. Quite malty for an IPA, more British in style, but nicely balanced.

Bottled. An amber beer with lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, straw, and spices, leading to a bitter finish.

Blumig hopfig-bitterer Beginn, wobei die Bitterkeit schnell ansteigt. Blumig bitter, süßlich, der Hopfen bleibt angenehm. Langer hopfiger Nachhall, Honigmelone, etwas klebrig. 9/9/8/9/11/9

Bottle from Beers of Europe as DOA IPA. Pours a slightly hazy amber colour with an average sized off white head. Aroma of mild hop, malt, with citrus notes. Medium bitterness, light sweetness. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. It’s ok but hoped for more hop.

From a 330ml bottle on 6/1/2015. Pours a slightly cloudy light golden with a small head. The nose features quite a bit of caramel malt with some light fruity hops at the back. Taste wise, there’s actually a fair bit going on. There’s a pretty big caramel malt backbone, lots of citrus fruit (orange, lemon, mandarin, grapefruit). along with some herbal, grassy notes. The bitterness is quite assertive - sticky, resiny with a slightly chemical finish, with the latter is my only only real issue with this beer. Has a fullish body with average carbonation. I’m actually staggered at the lowly rating this has on here. It’s bold and really flavoursome, and quite true to style. I suspect it’s probably another case geographical snobbery. I’d wager if this came out of a big name Yank or Euro brewer, it’d rate somewhere in the 80s or 90s.

Bottle from Fresh Fields. Pours amber with thin head. Bit of dank on the nose with a hint of citrus. Tastes grapefruit, pine and pith. It’s not bad but maybe a little gassy.
