Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head & some spotty lacing. Aroma is musty-funky-diacetyl-hop. Taste is bitter hops and sweet sweet diacetyl failure. Some glimmer of hope, but this is a scratch.

Bottle from Mouton Rouge Canterbury and drunk at home. Clear orange gold lasting beige head. Reasonable hop on the aroma with a little grapefruit. It has less crystal malt than the pale ale and so the hops shine a little more. It’s fine. Some bitterness some character. It’s relativeely hoppy and quite likeable and hop is decent. pepper bitterness.

Clear dark golden with a small off-white and some lacing. Aroma of malts and straw. Tastes of malts, caramel with a pine bitterness in the finish

Bottle from Jupiter in Kyoto Station. Surprised to see this. Faint nose, old school, caramel malts and citrus hops. Average and uninspired. Amber orange color with a low, tight head. Strong bitterness, caramel and citrus hops, some grass. Too bitter and unbalanced. Quite an industrial IPA, one might say. Drinkable but not much more.
