Kaldi Dökkur er annar bjórinn sem Bruggsmiðjan setti á markað. Þessi dökki Pilsner er rafbrúnn á lit með mikilli fyllingu, ristuðu malti og karamellu keim. Kaldi dökkur á sér afar tryggan kúnnahóp sem stækkar meir og meir. Í dökkan kalda notum við fjórar tegundir af byggi (Pilsen, Munich, Caramel og colour) og þrjár tegundir af humlum (hop extract, Sladek, Saaz). Gerjunartíminn er 4 vikur)

Bottle 33cl. @ DØE Tasting, Fox & Hounds, Holstebro.Clear medium to dark amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, sugar, light hoppy, cardboard notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and acrid - burnt caramel bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090825]

Good dense and finebubbled, dirty-cream head over cola-coloured beer. Sweet dark malts, dark bread, maybe some molasses and manure. Sweet, dark malts, more dark bread. Bit soft drink finish, but aftertaste is bitterish, even hoppy. Rather spritzy MF, if not fizzy; light bodied. Very drinkeable, rather agreable dark lager. Beats anything I had so far from Iceland by lightyears.

Bottled (thanks to Thomas B for bringing this beauty home from Iceland!). Deep ambery brown colour with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, some hops with mild toffee, burnt wood and smoky notes. Also quite nutty notes towards the finish. Way more complex than I waited it to be. Well done!

330 ml bottle purchased at the Vín Búð - Kringlan, Reykjavik, Iceland. Pour is light orange, ruby, brown - clear. 2 inch off white foamy head. Aroma is dirty chemical, some nut-caramel sweetness. Taste is better than the nose, somewhat sweet, smooth drinkable palate.

Dark amber color; creamy head. Light aroma of cereals, carmel and very light Saaz. Medium body strength, with a strong caramel flavor and some dark chocolate; it has a good bitterness level, but the caramelized malts cover the hop. The end is dry, as it seems to be quite common for this brewery. Not bad.

Bottled. an amber beer with a lazing thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, though added a light note of metal, leading to a dry bitter and slightly metallic finish. Thanks to Emil for bringing this home from Iceland.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Clear, amber golden with a creamy, off-white head that leaves some lacework. Lightly sweet aroma of caramel. Medium body, lightly sweet caramel and a fairly discreet bitterness. Quaffable but far from exciting. 120108
