"The sun beer from Steinkjer". Unfiltered, unpasteurised, bottle conditioned. Sigrid was the housewife of Egge farm 1000 years ago, when beer also was brewed at Egge. If the weather was fine, they used to dry malts in the sun, this method gave the beer a fine yellow colour and a "taste of the sun".

50 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours hazy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is phenolic and citric, light spiced. Bitter, citrusy and somewhat off-citric flavoured. Mild malty, slight fruity and citrusy. Bitter and dry finish. High carbonation mouthfeel, mild citric touch and very foaming head to me indicates a slowly developing infection.

Flaske 0,5l på Olympen, Oslo 17 Feb 10. Lys gylden på farge. OK skum som flatet helt ut. Litt uklart. Tung fruktig aroma. Smaken er avdempet fruktig. Litt vassen men god. Fruktige innslag i ettersmaken - og litt gjær.
