Pitch black, small tanned head. Cocoa, roasted malts in the nose. Full-bodied. Flavor is sweet. This is almost sweet stout - well it is called "dessert stout" ... Dark malts, warming alcohol in the finish. It is not a world class stout, but another solid brew from excellent Huvila brewery.

(Draught at St. Urho’s Pub on 2008-02-14) Almost black. Small head. Very sweet nose with some roasted malts. Rather sweet taste with some bitterness. The bitterness increases while the beer gets warmer. Bit too sweet for my taste.

Draught@Poirotti. Very dark brown, almost black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is caramel, acidic coffee along with some licorice and red berries. Flavour is very much the same, mainly alcoholic sweetness along with some old coffee and plummyness. A rather sweet imperial stout, that pretty much lacked roasted notes completely.
