Bottle from rosenbergh, many thanks Jan. Almost black colored beer with minimal beige head. Very nice aroma of roasted malt, coffee, ash, peat, whiskey, wood. Taste, dark malt, coffee, cocoa nibs, vanilla, licorice, dark berries, some roastiness, wood, whiskey, Could be very nice with chocolate cake. Alcohol is dangerously hidden. Tasty.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good fully lasting head. Black colour. Heay malty and light hoppy aroma. Choxolate and vanilla notes. Light sweet and heavy bitter flaor. Long nice finish. Along with chocolate a bit candis but it is quite nice.

Originally rated on 20.3.2009. 330ml bottle from Alko Arkadia. Sweet and slightly boozy, but otherwise quite well balanced and tasty imperial stout. 8-4-8-3-15 = 3.8
Re-rated on 11.6.2010. Taste is much more balanced after some aging. Great beer.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 2013
Sweetish aroma has roasted malt, some metal and hints of cocoa powder. Flavour is somewhat tart and acidic with some roasted malt, cocoa and lactic acid. Dry and tart finish. Rather oily palate. The sweetness does not disturb like it did two years ago, but the acidic tartness does disturb a bit. Most likely this was a bad bottle. And so was the second bottle I had.

3rd June 2010 - Brasserie 4:20. Bottle - thanks to Alex! Black stout, creamy brown head. Light soft frothy palate. Very sweet (it does say Dessert!). A little chocolatey but with a fair amount of forest fruits as well. Creamy tones and a little coca cola in there as well. A Dessert Stout. Does what it says on the tin - loved it!

Bottle at 4:20 at RBESG Rome. Black colour, beige head. Aroma is very sweet, soy, ripe fruits, light tart roasted maltiness. Flavour is very fruity, strawberry, sweet, raspberries, vanilla, sugar, sweet sugary light coffee bitter finish. Medium to fullbodied. Way too sweet imo.

Flaske 0,33 fra juletilbudet hos Alko Arkadia. Svart som natta. Aroma av kaffe & lakris. Lavt skum. Sammensatt og avrundet smak med nøtter & frukt. Litt syrlig ettersmak. Denne var en positig overraskelse! Delt med Rune under felles julelunsj.

330ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Seal brown with ruby highlights. Small off-white head. Smell of sweet dark malts, lightly roasted. Dark berries joined by roasted caramel malts in flavour and added by vanilla and honey sweetness. Well integrated alcohol. A bit sweet, but very good drinking (Romjuls party, Tromsø 27.12.2009).
