The Moulins d'Ascq blonde is the oldest of the family, created in 1999. Fine creamy foam, beautiful golden color, discreet bitterness, length in the mouth, refreshing. The blonde is the perfect balance. We always come back to it.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy golden coloured brew, starts watery than it will get more spicier and to the end a sweet mellow taste.

Blond colour with big fluffy head. Very light grainy aroma, almost wheaty. Yeasty notes too. Not too sweet. There's a dry bite of hop and just a hint of sweetness in the finish.

Bière 75 cl bue chez une amie. Robe blonde, mousse fine, nez sur la levure et le malt, une blonde standard mais sans faute de goût. (M)

Cloudy yellow golden colour, large frothy white head, diminishes slowly, thin layer remains, good lacing. Fruity and yeasty nose, peach, apricot, perfume, floral, bit sourish. Taste medium sweet, light bitter, fruity, yeast. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, aftertaste begins sweetbitter, towards the finish somewhat astringent, bit citrusy, spicy notes. More complex than expected, nice Blonde.

Malt, honey, and lemon zest nose, very bready. Hazy amber, thick head, good lacing. Bready honey, little hop notes, but some subtle grassiness. Slightly buttery, but it works. Full body, alcohol a little strong. Not one of the better Belgian beers, but still quite enjoyable. I have no problem calling it a Biere de Garde.

On tap @ Pulp Kitchen, Lille. Golden blonde color. White head, with pretty good lacing. Aroma’s: Grain, malt, light sweetness, some fruit. Retronasal there’s a lot of sweet & sour fruit. Flavor is light sweet, fruit. Light to medium bodied. Finish is somewhat dry with just a hint of bitterness. It’s nice that it’s organic, but it’s a rather average French blonde (I woudn’t call it bière de garde).
