Draught at Birch and Barley: pours light brown with a small head. Aroma is maltiness, dark fruitiness and hints of spiciness. Tastw is moderately sweet and lightly spicy. Pretty good.

330ml bottle from Liquors Hasegawa (bottled on 10/13/2014). Poured in a snifter. Pours a hazy caramel brown with a modest head that dissipated within 5 minutes. Really clear and strong sweet fig aroma. Slight cinnamon and alcohol aromas present as well. Initial taste was very alcohol forward with strong spice and bitterness present from hops. As it comes to room temperature individual spices become easier to detect: clove, ginger, corriander, cinnamon and nutmeg are all present. Alcohol taste becomes a little milder. FIg aroma is quite strong and lasts throughout the glass. Medium body with a relatively thin texture. Bitter finish. Very unique beer from Baird.

Bottle at SlutFest 2011 on 04/23/2011. Mostly clear copper body with a medium frothy off white head. Sweet fruit, caramel and light spice aroma with earthy notes. Sweet fruit, fig, caramel, light spice and earthy flavor. Medium full body with moderately low carbonation.

7% an amber winter warmer on Tap at the cozy Baird Numazu Taproom. An amber pour with a light beige head. Malty sweet, spices, figs in the aroma. Great earthy+fruity taste, malty but with bucket loads of sweet figs with a bit of spices & a mild ascerbic puckering bitterness to it. More flavorful than I was expecting. A good surprise, but best in small amounts I think. Worth trying, quite unique.

This brew is a cloudy brown color with a medium thin white head that dissipates quickly to a wispy film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of sweet malt, fruit and spices. The finish is sweet with a dark fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pours copper with a fading head.Nose shows sweet rich malt, with dried fruit and golden syrup showing through.Flavours are equally sweet but quite complex. Hints of eucalyptus, dried fruits and some spices. Pretty interesting (in a good way).Body feels too syrupy.

I have never heard of this brewer before and was surprised to hear that it comes from Japan. +++Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky orange-brown color with a small foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was cinnamon, nutmeg and was a bit musty. The flavor was bread, cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel and raisin. The finish was medium length bread and dry spices. Medium body. Ok.
