Bottle shared at the Watford tasting, December 2013. It pours murky amber-brown with a small off-white head. The nose is big banoffee pie, white grape skin, creme brulee and butterscotch. The taste is white grape skin, vinous, banana, butterscotch, banana bread, wood, whisky, earth and a touch of chalk. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Smooth, interesting and rather tasty. A few years on this has really worked wonders. Very nice indeed.

75cl. erdig-matschiger Geruch.

På Cardinalsmaking noterte jeg følgende: A superb beer which hides its 11% behi\nd a polished facade ogf heather honey, homemeade plum jam and bog myrtle on a soft palate.

Hazy amber beer. Sourish oaky nose. Crisp palate, light too, feather light! Dry. Complex array of flavours. Sourish oak and a minty coolness. Repressed whisky and a trace of sherry barrel. Finishes soft, sour and dry with a brief sweet note. As it warms up, creamy vanilla comes to the fore. A unique beer, champagne like but much more flavoursome!

Bottle courtesy of Sigmund at Cardinal, thank you sir! Amber color, medium white head. Aroma of biscuit and light spice. Taste is floral, bread, spice. Not bad.

Bottle thanks to GRG1313. Bottle 1207. Pours with a particle filled yellow body with a minimal white head. Aromas are bready and spicy, with light oak and some smokey peat character. Flavors are lightly tart, bready, spicy, malty with light whisky character. Medium bubbles. Alcohol is decently hidden.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty and slightly vinous heather aroma. Sweetish warming heather and honey flavor with woody hints. Has a sweetish malty spicy heather honey finish.

Bottle shared with Joes and DutchDrebus @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Clear orange color, thin white head. Smell whisky, wood, wine and light sourness. Taste whisky, wine, cider and apple. Really nice fitting carbo and medium body.

Big bottle at Asahiya. Big caramel aroma, sour, grass, and funk. Interesting, different, difficult, with peat, seaweed, sherry. Brown, cloudy, ugly looking With no head. Tangy, sour flavor, with caramel, sea water, funk, nutmeg?, nori, big vanilla, cocoa. Quite salty. Almost flat, medium body. About as strange as it gets, but somehow compelling.

Hazy deep blond color; small head. Nice Bretts and old cellar aroma, mellow vanilla, light sourness. Mellow malts flavor with Belgian accent, blended wit oak vanilla and light sourness: I don’t think this works out well. Sweet and acidic final.
