I do like beer and i do like whisky, however combined in a way like this i didn’t like it. In the smell it works out quite well, but not in the taste. RERATE: Orange colour. Smells whisky, sweet, fruity. Tastes accordingly, found some apple notes.

Lots of cherries and oak. Very malty, a touch sickly sweet and very warming. Full bodied. Probably the best beer from these guys.

Bottle 657 of 7500. Pours orange. White head. Lots of sediment. A bit of a gusher. Nose and taste of honey, edible flowers, juniper, orange rind, oak and whiskey. Body a little on the thinner side. Hides alcohol well. Good sipper.

Bottle purchased directly from Beers of Europe, consumed 07.01.11 Pours a slight amber with steady white slim head. As the description suggests there is bit whisky, oaky and sherry aroma’s wafting off of this beer, it’s got a very big boozy nose. Fruity in the mouth, soft, there is a tingle on the tongue, feels very strong and boozy, with a sharp tangy bite. A7 A3 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Bottled 750ml (bottled July 2009, bottle 4108/7500)
Unclear amber color, small off-white head. Whiskey, vanilla, spices, heather in the nose. Medium to full bodied. Lots of vanilla, heather, alcohol, wood and caramel. Warming. Quite different than original.

Bottled. Deep golden colour, small foamy white head. Aroma is heather, berries, fruits, whisky, some alcohol and mild wooden notes. Flavour is quite much the same a bit more balanced in flavour than the aroma. Still not very pleasant.

Bottle # 5862. Pours a orange/golden color, white head, some lacing. Lots of aroma’s: very floral, wood/oak, whisky, sour (almost lambic-like), herbal, alcoholic. Flavor is a bit tart (again, almost lambic-like), and a bit sweet. Finishes somewhat dry. Interesting to say the least. Left the bottle (re-corked) standing for two days, after which is the beer was considerably less tart, which did the beer a lot of good.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with sediment and a small, filmy white head. A fruit aroma, with apple and light funkiness. Flavor is mostly sweet, with tart apple and light sourness. Not too boozy, light stickiness and dryness in the finish, with some warmth. Light to medium in body with lively carbonation. Has a sort of white wine character. Pretty good overall.

bottle pours light gold with a tall white head. Aroma is floral and herbal. Flavor is like a hoppy triple with rosemary and floral herbs in the finish. Interesting.
